Default I want this reel....What do you think?

I know where I can get this reel for cheap but I don't know much about the pinnacle reels and how good they are....it is all aluminum which is awesome but I am curious about their drag systems....

BPACA,

I own three Pinnacle reels and bought two of them from Aegis on E-bay. I like the reels that I have. I think they are a bargain at the price you can get them at. I haven't had any problems with the drag on any of my reels. I don't fish near as much as guys like Reb, PNJ, Zooker, and Lizards. If I did I might find more issues with them. PNJ has used Pinnacles in the past, he would be a good one to get his opinion. For 50 bucks you can buy the old BPS Extremes right now. I have two of these and like them better than my Pinnacles. They are smaller than the Pinnacles and cast a country mile on 7 ft. rods with 12 lb. mono without a whole lot of effort. Wal-Mart carries the Pinnacle Extant up here in Indy. My suggestion would be to see if one of your local Wal-Marts carries them. Put one in your hand and see how you like it. If you like it well enough to buy it go back to Aegis' site on E-bay. He's always got several Pinnacle reels for sale.

For the money it is very difficult to find fault with the Pinnacle reels.I still have 1 Tetra left. They do everything well, but if you were to only buy a couple of reels to fish with, they wouldn't be my choice for longevity of primary use.As mentioned, for the money you can't beat them.I would also recommend looking into the Extreme reel, especially for $49.99 price. I hope this helps. P N J

I have a Pennicle , It seems to have worn out pretty fast , but it does still do fine. I bought a Pflueger Trion for 50.00 off EBay brand new in the box. I really like this reel for the price , dont know how long term it is... Getting the Revo with my BPS Gift cards everyone got me for Christmas !! Cant wait for that to come in..
