Thumbs down d@#$ development

The pond I've been fishing for the past 8 months is now being destroyed. (d@$n development ) It's only about an acre, but holds some nice fish. Me and my dad have probably caught over 250 bass there, including one over 5lbs, and at least 10 over 3.5. It has stakes all around, and the land surrounding it is being surveyed. I'm going there tomorrow for what might be my last time there.

Catch the fish and let them go somewhere else. That way you can stock another local pond, lake,or canal.

Were aking around to see who wants them, as we cant put them in public waters. There are some nice fish in there, I took out that five, and this year we put in another 4-6, and a 3-8.

what makes you think they are filling in the lake? could be any number of reasons why they are surveying it.

Which shirt the AC/DC or Hendrix? Thanks.
Because we saw them surveying, asked some people we knew. Turns out the farmhouse will be leveled on February 1st. Then it will go for sale, and most likely be sold to a developer, who will decide if he fills it or leaves it for the community.

well keep in mind, waterfront property sells for more money so the developer may choose to keep it, the county also requires developers to have drainage areas and they may choose to keep the pond/lake for that purpose. I wouldn't give up on the lake yet, but I'd at least fish the heck out of if for no other reason than it produces some nice looking fish.
