Illegal Immigration

The latest telephone poll taken by the office of the Governor of Texas asked whether people who live in Texas think illegal immigration is a serious problem:

35% of respondents answered: "Yes, it is a serious problem."

65% of respondents answered: "No es una problema serio."

ROFLMAO that's pretty funny. It's so true though. We have an all Spanish grocery store and I live in north west Texas. South Texas is like Juarez!

Where I work they have "no worker pick up" signs along the road. The signs are directly accross the street from the known neighborhood full of illegals.

OK....so if the county knows where to place the signs. That means they also know where to find the illegals. Which means they REALLY could care less that they are here.

If you hunt anywhere near Uvalde you have a shed outside full fo blankets, can goods, crakers and water. Otherwise you will walk into an empty camphouse.

I have a good buddy named Pablo. He came across in 65 and worked for my Gramps for many years. In 67 he became a citizen and has worked hard ever since. My inlaws are Mexicans and I have befriended many of them. They do not care at all for illegals, nor do I. If you are going to come over here because the oppourtunities are so great, become a citizen, pay taxes and work-'nuff said.

Adam, that ain't limited to Uvalde. That is the case anywhere within 100 miles or so of the border. I used to date a girl who's dad had a camp outside Laredo. Every time they go down there it has been broken into.

I lived in Camp Wood (30 miles North of Uvalde) for 3 years on a big ranch and we had tons of problems with them camping out on our land. We had a few horses stolen and tons of little stuff "disappear." They only got more brazen as the years went on. One of the guys that worked for us shot an "illegal" trying to steal his pickup one night. He only peppered him and the guy got away but it was enough to make us sell that place and move further north. It is really getting ridiculous in the more rural areas of south Texas and I'm sure other border states.

I totally agree with Adam! I don't mind you coming here, working hard, paying taxes and making a decent life for yourself; however, when you start stealing things and threatening lives, it's a totally different story!!

Better stop now before I say something I shouldn't
