You can see my father with this 7.05 lber, it was 23"L X 16" G The other pics are of the 23.5" L X 16" G I caught before he got there. Weather was cold, never saw the sun, and there was a 100+ boat tourney going on today. I talked to about 15 boats and the best anyone had was 2ea 2lbers, all the rest of them had 0. I also talked to the DNR Officer LOL.(checked my license, and busted the boat going around me for not having one) He said I should've sold it to one of the tourney guys. Anyways the water temps were 60 degrees. I got to the ramp at 8am, launched and was fishing by 8:15am. I was attempting to prefish for tomorrow's buddy tourney me and my partner are fishing in. I fished till 11:30am with one bite, and that was my new PB mudfish Probably 10lbs. My dad called me at 11:30am and said he was coming out and bringing his regular(shiners) and would be there at 1pm. So I caught this girl, and 2 other 2lbers in that 1.5 hrs. I then picked him up and took him to the area I caught the little girl, and within 30 minutes he had caught his within 50 yards of where I caught mine. That was it for bass for the day. I did catch a sunny on a c-rig pulse worm later, and we also caught a couple more mudfish on shiners LOL. It was a cold and dreary day, but boy was it fun I doubt I'll catch that kinda of fish tomorrow in the tourney with this cold front we just got hit with, but I'll be trying to beat it anyways. Hope everyone else gets out this weekend. And yes zooker this was part of the St John's river

Yes I am, the old guy is my dad rotflmao. My arm you can see in the other pics has a red carhart jacket on. Under that was a courderoy shirt, and a t-shirt. After the pics I put my insulated rain suit on, and was still cold

Only the celebration that's getting ready to hit Indy for the Colts, nothing else, except some friends of course.

No, it does not float. But it don't sink quick like a senko either. I was really turned on to it by my partner. I either fish it weightless or with a tiny BB sized split shot. It really does catch a lot of bass down here in Florida. I have yet to c-rig it, but am gonna try it. It's just proven to be too good of a bait on the tidal rivers/lakes that I have to use it to all I can. It doesn't work well for me with any weight bigger than a BB split shot. When I need a deeper or faster presentation, the Paca, Pulse Worm, or Lizards work better for me. I don't know why they just do. It took me awhile before I actually started fishing them(new tircks and old dogs thing), but since I first tried it, they have produced. I cast it to wood usually, and deadstick it for a few seconds. Many times they hit it on the intial fall while deadsticking it(watch your line). Then I just give it a slow drag(not a twitch) and dead stick it again. Sometimes you need to wait longer on the deadsticking than other of course. I usually don't work it out deep, it's more of a shallow water technique.

Thats how I like to fish it scott,i use a medium wire hook for a slower fall, and I can now cast it with a baitcasting rod,so thats what I will be using now for them. My favorite colors are watermelonseed and Junebug. I like to c-rig it in grass and also t-rig it in clear water, and I fish it almost like a shaky head rig.
