Nice rod PowerBass. I bought the MBR783C and teamed it with my AC500PT. I love it! I want to buy another, but $$ is a little short right now.

PB, The Bronzeback rod is around $210.00.I don't know my spinning reels, so Crab will have to answer the total.

I am waiting for the Pflueger Magnesium Supreme spinning reel to come out, before I start thinking about a new spinning outfit.I would rather pay $10.00 more and buy a IMX rod rather than a Bronzeback series, but I am not always correct. Don't forget to buy Yo Zuri Ultrasoft 8 lb test line for that bad boy Crabby.I see you are missing line , or is that something new on the market ? ROFLMAO..... P N J

Well if you still had it, I would have been interested in buying from you, but you don't so this typing words is just for the sake of typing, hoping like hell I spelled everything correctly. P N J

Just cause it says "smallmouth" doesnt mean it catches more smallies....dont fall into that trap...the pleuger president on a BPS extreme is the best smalllie outfit you can buy.

Adam,
No rod catches any more than any other rod. But those smallmouth rods are made to where it is designed for certain techniques.

Hey Crab, nice rod. But what's really catching my eye is the pretty wall paper and boarder.

Adam,
I realize that, but they are made for the lighter lines, fast tapers, backbones, and everything, for specific uses in smallmouth fishing

My G Loomis IMX 6'6" MH rod weighs 4.23 ounces.I put a Shimano Metanium XT which weighs 8.11 ounces with line spooled up.That is only 12.34 ounces for total weight. If I had a MG series Metanium reel, I could have shaved another ounce , or so off from the weight. P N J
