Living in fl, even though double digit fish aren't that easy to catch, I'm sure I would get another one sooner or later. Take pictures and its back in the water.

bf is dead on about going ike and showing every single person in sight. I caught an 8lb bass out of a golf course pond, I couldn't help it. I screamed something to the effect of "Oh Yeah!!!" and then I lifted it up high in the air for the golfers to see. They had no problem with me doing it and even came up to me to aska few Q's about what I was doing. Made me feel like a pro.

i caught a 8 lber the other day as golfers just got finished talking to me. he was about to hit the ball, and saw me pullin in somethin and stopped what he was doing to watch. as soon as i got it up, i raised it in the air to show them. i was surprised on how many golfers were interested in fishing. i had one guy come up to me with his golf cart and ask what i was usin. unfortunatly he left right before i slammed in another 6-7 lb'er.

1. Take Pictures (real fast)
2. Take Measurements (real fast) 3. Give her a big ol' Kiss (the fish that is) 4. Release her 5. High fives all around 6. Finish fishing 7. Go home and order a Replica Mount Kybasser |

First of all I'd try to stop shaking, then:
1. Take pictures 2. Measure length and girth 3. Weigh it on my digital scale. 4. Let her go where I caught her. 5. Call my best friend that fishes for bass and rub it in, although he already has a 12 pounder. 6. Have a fiberglass mount made. |

Well if it's in a tournament, then it goes in the livewell until weigh in ;D Hard one to answer. I guess I would have a replica made. If it's like something close to the state record, I'd call the DNR and have them come out and check it or whoever needed to, for my endorsements of course ;D Anyway if it's that big, I would make sure it's not something that would cost me a bunch of money if I did release it. If it's just 10lbs, then it would be a replica, if it's 13lbs and up, then we'd have to do some checking for where I caught it.

i wouldnt do that to a bass. i wouldnt take it out of its natural habitat to be put into a tank for people to stare at one. i would release it, unless it is close to the state record. then i would call up whoever i need to call and have them check it out. i'd have the bass in the water tho, untill he comes, then back into the water. im not sure the record for florida, does anybody know? its gotta be big.

The uncertified record is 20lb 2oz, although it sounds like most everyone is pretty sure thats what it was. The certified state recor is 17lb 4oz.
