Well Lake Palestine is beginning to pick up with the Male Bass moving into the shallows to make beds. Mostly male Bass were caught yesterday with about 15-20 Bass up to about 5 lbs. being brought to the boat.

Bass are in the pockets and hard to reach areas in the backs of coves and the spawning grounds. Bigger females seem to be backed off right now but any day they will move up. As the Full moon comes we will see a peak in Bigger Bass comming up and being caught.

Baits they were caught on were Nichols White and Chartruse spinnerbaits and the Nichols Salty Mother Sinker in Green Pumpkin Pepper rigged weightless and Texas rig style. Shallow running crankbaits also caught Bass. Water temps were at 65 at am. and about 69 at pm. There was a better bite in the Evening than morning.
