well, today after the storms stopped, i went to a golf coarse and fished the ponds, armed with a bag of tiki dipsticks in redbug/chartruese and my rod/reel, i made my way around to each pond. the first cast out, WHAM huge 9 lb'er
the adreniline was pumping, i noticed that there was beds all over the place, and the water was relativly clear and i could see the fish on the bed, but on alot of beds there was a fish that i dont know what it is. it had a green head all red dorsal fin extending from head to tail, and a red tail. its body was spotted all over, the first thing that came to mind was a peacock bass, but this is to far north for those? any iideas? any way. i proceeded to catch a 7lber, 2lber, 1lber, 6lber, 8lber, 4-5lber, and 6-7lber. i was stoked. these are the days that remind me of why i love to bass fish so much. all the bass fought extremely hard making for a great day of fishing. it was great. i was amazed at how many beds there were. if you looked in the water, all you saw were sandy areas kinda dug out alittle with either a bass, or that other kind of fish on it. i didnt have a scale so all the weights were estimated, but im almost sure they are right. i do have pics of the bigger ones, except for the 9lber because that was the first cast and didnt have my phone on me, i had to run back to my uncles house and get it. i am gunna go out again tommorrow and i hope i have the same luck. it was a great day of fishin.

Only problem is I have to ride my bike to and from where I fish, limiting my chances to go fishing.

Yeah. Where I live there are a ton of rednecks who have no idea how to fish and they just chunk whatever lure they think looks pretty out there and they cast at any spot they think looks nice. And on top of that they trash up the place. :P

here are the pics, i only took pics of the bigger ones and i didnt have the phone at the time i caught the 9lb'er so i didnt get a pic of that one.
this is where i caught the 9lb'er. she hit it right off the front of the tree, as soon as the worm hit the water. this is another one i caught right off a bed. same one as before, at different angle. this baby was atleast 7-8lbs, i could barely hold her with my hand. she kept wigglin and squirmin. same one as before. this one was 4-5lbs, caught in a deeper bed. same one as before. these were just a few of the bigger ones. 8)

went out today again for some great fishin. caught a tatol of 7, rangeing from 4-7 lbs. i dont think those fish i was talkin about were peacock bass, i think they might be tilapia. but i saw one that was nearly 2 feet long. i dont think tilapia get that big. it might have been a carp, but i didnt think carp had colors like that? anyways, there wasnt any rain and it was a great day to fish. most caught on a tiki stik in redbug, and a few caught on a small booyah spinnerbait in chartruse with a 7'' black zoom trick worm for a trailor. they were really aggresive. i didnt take pics this time cause my phones battery died. i will try to fix the pics.

Well I was going to fish some golf course ponds today, but I have to go through a gated in community to get to the ponds, and the gates are closed ONLY on sundays. Â*:P Â*Anyways, I went to a couple different ponds and tried to fish some. Â*Unfortunately due to all the rain lately, I wasn't able to get up close enough to the water to cast out, because all the ponds were surrounded by trees or high weeds that I couldn't cast through. Â*All I ended up getting was a huge backlash trying to cast through the trees. Â*This heavy rain has severely cut down the number of places that I can fish, seeing as I have no car.
