Default Jigging Spoons

What are the jigging spoons you guys use? I have a spoon from when I first started fishing called a Krocodile Spoon. http://www.ontariofishing.net/news/luhr-krok.jpg

I could't find a good image on the net so I'll try to describe it. It's pretty thick for it's length. It's not exactly curved like a bowl like a regular spoon. It just has one curve. Would this one work?

Thanks.

Yours should work just fine, but if you want a old school jigging spoon,
Get ya about 2-3 dif. sizes of the swedish pimple jigging spoon. Some come with feather/heckle or you can put live bait or a grub, but just jigging by themselves can be deadly. Around here early spring or late fall when they drop the water level guys use these from 18-35 feet over at brookville lake,
Also a great lure for white bass and walleye if you get the right size and weight..this with a few blade baits in the ol tacklebox sure doesnt hurt a few weeks after ice out.....

hack what do you mean don't waste your time? on my local lake (table rock) if you plan on catching fish right now you best be either using a drop shot or a jigging spoon. their are a lot of guys in my tourneys that are power fisherman like myself that live and die with things like a jig, crankbait, spinnerbait, ect. but the winning weight week in and week out right now is coming on those two things, and will continue to until the water cools down some. not an expert on spoons or dropshots although i am trying, but read up on it and learn it. like anything else it has it's time and when it's right you can load the boat with them. go get em' joolz!

The swedish pimple are deadly, but so are many other brands for all species of fish.I night fish alot more with metal jigs, but they can be very effective around deep water docks, to tracking baitfish schools and jigging with the school of bait. Here you will get bit more often when fishing just over the top of the school of bait as apposed to fishing in, or underneath them.Be prepared to hang on once you get bit, they will really slam it, or sometimes you won't feel any weight as the fish has the jig is dropped on the fall from the lift and drop method. I probably have caught more smallmouth bass on a silver buddy, but the swedish pimple will catch more fish on a regular basis. I like the glow colors. P N J

Default Do not know if still around?

It was called a rattle snakie..OH look still around..
They crush fish that normally would not bite.

I like the glow in the dark ones best..
