Ice Report

Well Guys, hit Kent Lake today to do a little ice fishin out of Bender's Stratos. Me, Bender, and my dad all went out, only fish being caught, a pike, by my dad. About 30". A little windy, but a good day to be out. Maybe next time...

It was a cold day, and even though Kent Lake has some big fish I couldn't put us on them. The lake changed a lot since I last fished it a few weeks ago because they drew it down about 3 feet!
I thought today was my last shot, but I might try it again one more time tomorrow morning. I will try to get some pics of the ice that we were fishing in/through.

Yeah, get the pics of the ice. Show Reb and FlyBoy how us Northern boys bear the cold, brave the wind, and(not today anyway catch the fish!

Some pics from Saturday with LL and some from Sunday with another buddy on Kent. It was COLD! He caught 3 and I had 0, all on jerk baits. I experimented a little with the float-n-fly, but that didn't work either. Water temp was between 35-36 deg.

that might be about it for me this year. Might have to be with how fast the ice is coming up!!! I sure would like to be able to say I fished out of the boat in December though, we'll see.
