Mattern Guide Service on Sam Rayburn Hello Everybody,
PSALM 37: Verse 4; Delight thyself also in the Lord: and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart:

Hallelujah the first Monster Bass showed up for one of my clients Rodney Rowe , ( A 12 Lb. Monster) of the cold water season. That is to say, December thru March. Thats when some of the biggest Bass of the Pre-Spawn season are caught.
Water temps are running 57-62 depending where you are. About 25 bass a day has been the norm this week with really good Bass up to 6 lbs. being caught on lipless crankbaits. Good colors has been reds oranges and shad imitations. Bass are eating on shad and crawfish so these will be predominate through out this season.
Bigger Bass such as Mr. Rowe,s were caught on Nichols Jigs in Black & Blue. Nichols has to have one of the best Jigs on the Market. Use 1/2 ounce and glue with fishing glue a trailer in same color and go to work if you want a double digit Bass.
Bass were hitting in the grass and the Bigger Bass were hitting in the creek channels. One was also brokj off and another pulled free all were Giants.
You can call Mr. Nichols at 903-589-8100 and order you a bunch of those great jigs and trailers. Persistance is the key. Your not just gonna tie on a jig and start catching Big Bass. You gotta search and search some more working cover slowly and staying near some deeper water. Deeper does not mean 50 foot in this case but deeper than the flat the channel is going through. Such as a 10 foot channel with a flat of 3 to 6 feet. The 10 foot is the deeper water. Well I hope this helps you out for the Bass of a Lifetime.
Give me a call or drop me an E-mail to book a trip. You can call me at 903-478-2633.Don\\\'t forget my great sponsors who make my day greater everytime I go to the Lake.
Thanks and God Bless Have a wonderful Christmas and remember it is the greatest celebration of the birth of Jesus, The Son of God. The High Priest of all mankind who Himself said Whosoever believeth in me shall be saved.
