This is the hook holder I have used with all my rods for 20 years. So far I've never had to replace one and they have never caused any of my rods any harm. It is simply a split ring and a plastic zip tie. Easy to install, cheep and lasts forever.

That's awesome, thanks for the pics. Does the one shown in the second picture ever slip farther up the rod. You'd think it would. I might try that on my Pro Qualifier.

So far I havn't had any trouble with it slipping up the rod as I too thought it would. The photo your looking at is a Pro Qualitier rod, lol. Good minds think alike they say. Anyways, if it would start to slip on you, I would think a couple wrapps of electrical tape in front of the zip tie would hold it in place. But I've never had to do that.

on trigger rods with no holder i drill a small hole through the trigger and turn it into a hookkeeper.
