Talking Stoked!

I am so stoked! Right now I am waiting for my new rod, reel, and two shipments of tackle.

Rod: St. Croix Avid, 7'6'', Medium/Heavy, Moderate/Fast
Reel: Daiwa Fuego, 6.3:1, 7.4 oz., Left Hand

Can't wait until I get my new Stik and practice for the 2008 season!

i see you have the "left hand" on there. im left handed too but i grew up using my dads reels and they are right handed so im used to those. i tried a left handed reel one time but it just wasnt comfortable.

For writing and throwing a baseball and stuff, I'm right-handed, but when it comes to fishing, spinning or casting, I always get a left-handed reel.

Same here. Plus I get a more powerful hookset with my right hand.

Me too, but that is how is should naturally be. A right handed reel is described as such because the handle is on the right side. It does not necessarily mean that it is for a right hand dominant person as I learned the hard way.

Congrats, LL. That sounds like a super sweet set up. Since I fish with LHs myself, let me know if you want me to "field" test your new rig for you. I'll loan you my Crucial/Curado D.

Im right handed and used a right hand retreive. been using it too long to switch over, and I tryed. Lefty feels wrong to me. Its second nature for me. And I for sure can slam a hook back just as hard as anyone.

lafty here as well. but i guess i use a right hand rod and reel. i throw with the left and reel with the right. it cimes in handy when ur using a top waterbait or a rooster tail, or a buzz i throw it and just as it hits the water i start reeling. have caught many a fish that way.
