Turkey Huntin'

Anybody been gearin' up for the '08 Season? I've applied and am ready for my second year of slayin'! Last year I gave it a try and smacked a bird with an 8" beard, 7/8" spurs, and 20 lbs. on the nose.

Can't wait to give it another try!

hope you put him in the smoker! i just LOVE smoked gobblers. i am gonna get me one next year, paw-in-law has about 3 groups we been feeding for 2 yrs. fatting them up for next year. mmmm-mmm good.

I shot a nice Tom with a 10" beard about 3 or 4 years ago. Too bad we didn't measure the spurs...

i have wacked quite a few. both my brother -wormy-and i tag team them we hunt public land mostly. here in nc any ways,but we do hunt private land in va and pa..

couple from several years ago..

the one on the left found out you can't out run a 10 gauge..especially if i am shooting it...my bro wacked the right one the left one tried to haul butt.. oops right at me..

What's your biggest beard, Zook? Those look like some 6" (right), and 7-8" (left) birds.

21 lbs, 7/8" spurs, 10 3/4" beard.

I go deer hunting quite a bit, but never been turkey hunting. Turkey season is about to open down here in Tennessee. I might go a few times this year.
