Default Stick Marsh/Farm 13

A friend and I fished FARM 13 Yesterday with a guide. Ten bass and one catfish caught, all on shiners. The lake is still murky from last weekends high winds. No grass in the lake seems to be a problem. Our catch took place mostly after 3:00 p.m. in the southwest area of Farm 13. Fishing seemed slow all over according to several guides we spoke to. Garcia might be a better bet,but if you're after LARGE bass as we were, Stick Marsh/Farm 13 is the better choice. Most fish caught were in the 4to5 pound catagory. Looking for suggestions on other places to chase that 10 pound bass.

I fished the stick marsh on Wed also. Went out at 330, caught six bass all 3-4 pounds. Hooked up with one 12+, weighed on my scale. Caught it in the back lot about halfway up on the south side. Used a 10" charlies worm- grape colored. Slow presentation, bumped into some underground branches.

Congrats on the huge bass! Did you catch it after that strong NE wind picked up around 5:00 or before? Hearing your report gives me confidence to go back again before we leave Florida at the end of the month. I'd heard that you have to use shiners to get the really big bass. I guess not true?

Yeah, I was out until 6ish. You can and will catch large bass on artificials. The odds are better using shiners, I don't use them except if I take my kids.
