Default Table Rock Lake Flooding Pictures

i realize most of you have never seen table rock lake. but those of you who have know what i mean when i say it is one of the cleanest lakes you will ever see. keeping that in mind, here are some pictures that i found on another site of the flooding that is going on right now. actually the 5th picture is where my tournament was out of this past saturday. usaully the water on this lake is gin clear and hardly ever any debris floating at all. i guess this is what happens when 3 big ice storms that tear the hell out of trees are followed by big flooding.

This is what I saw. I'd like to see the pics, but I'm not gonna register at a site for a one-time look.

5th pic down, see the 3 trees? at our tourney saturday my truck was parked in front of the one on the right. if it was in the same spot now you would probably only see the roof and half of my windows. crazy how fast water can come up!

C-Rig, do ya'll have those big, floating hoovers that collect debris on the lake? That almost seems like an insurmountable amount of clean up! How long do you think it'll be before ya'll can safely put a boat in? From past experience, I mean..

pig, to my knowledge mother nature is the only manner of clean up on the lake. it does look like it will take a while for things to get back to normal though. there are a lot of guys that are gonna be fishing on the lake this weekend but i am sure they will only have a few ramps to choose from. the real big problem probably won't be getting on the water safely, it will be getting around safely. imagine rounding a corner at 70mph and the seeing one of those wall to wall logjams, if people don't use common sense then someone will get hurt.

Ol' Smith Mountain Lake gets it's share of crap wackin', too. Some of the coves get filled from back to front after a big rain. American Electric Power actually has a big crane looking thing that they use to help clean up if it gets bad...like those pics seem to indicate. Even then, like C-rig wrote, there's usually a tree or 300 that's free floating out on the channels. Last year a fellow sheared off the whole lower unit while on plane in over 100' of water. Good luck, C-rig! Ya'll be careful and all that...

Welcome to what i fish daily in the missouri river. It looks devestating. But things will get back to normal. Use this as an opertunity to learn fishing in diffrent conditions. I'm telling you the fishing will be better now than in the weeks to come.

L.L. she should get her clarity back fairly quick, but other things will take a while. like having a good heavy rain without a buch of crap floating into the lake. water levels stop changing up or down. things like that will probably take a while.

i heared today that there is only one ramp on the lake that people can launch from, and it is down by the dam. that is saying a lot considering the size of the lake and number of ramps that's on it.
