Posting Limitations?

Quick question. Is there a limit on the amount of words I can use on a single post?

The reason I ask is because when I make a short post, it gets posted. However, if it is lengthy, I get a pop-up that states it must be reviewed.

If there is a limitation, what is it?

I do believe there is, but It's a lot more than your posts, I'm sure. Here are a longer one just to give you an idea.

a short post has to be over 10 characters (letters, etc) long, however I am guessing being new a longer post may go through a review if the used is new..after several posts I believe any length of words being posted will appear. You could PM kevin (admin) for more clarification

Hey Sinjin,

First off... Welcome to BassFishin.Com! We're glad you've joined the family here.

In regards to seeing the "You post is waiting for review" message...

We have implemented an anti-spam measure that analyzes the content of the first 5 posts of each newly registered member. Just like junk mail filters in email programs, most of the time it works very good and spots true spam and prevents it from hitting the boards, but often it puts perfectly acceptable posts (like your's) in the moderation queue to wait for an admin to look at it before having it post.

The reason a few of your posts were put into the moderation queue is because you used the word "sex". Since that was within your first 5 posts, it was held for moderation. While you're post is perfectly acceptable, our spam filters aren't that smart yet.

So now that you are past 5 posts, you should have no further problems. But feel free to let me know if you do.

Just wanted to make sure you understood it was simply an automated spam-filter and not me playing tricks on ya!

Makes perfect sense. I wish all sites implements the same anti-spam measures as I am so sick of seeing spam posts day in and day out.
