just got off the boat from the cattle ranch lake, it was 26 mph wind but settled down to 14 mph, just perfect , threw the blade, of course denny had a nice one from the back of the boat almost instantly, *thanks reb
![]() Mine came later, but all in all we ended up with 3 nice keepers, but a ton of small fish Air temp 70 , water temp i'd guess mid 50s We kept looking for jacks that were on the bank, and fished back deeper than the males were staging for spawn, its still early for that pattern tho. Still most fish tonight wanted a moving crankbait or swim bait. Got several on cranks, denny scored a nice one on a shad storm swimbait. wind died down to about 10 and the bite was over, cept for some dinks. We hit another lake tomorrow, so far its been crank crank crank bait. Sunday tourneys at brookville brought in a 9.7 largemouth off of garr hill, and a 5 lb smallie off the fairfield flats , (the lake was built over several towns, fairfield was one, with foot tall foundations on the flats). I figured it would be all main lake points, but they have moved up a little,. The largie was taken on a chartreuse spinnerbait on standing timbers. 14 ft of water. The small on crankbait in 7 ft . water temp was 58. |
