Just wondering if anyone has tried the new Trilene Maxx line and what they think? It is 10 $ for a spool so it should be better than regualar mono... right!?!? Good fishin

I use it on my topwater rods. I really like it-handles real well and it tough to boot.

Get Stren Original Monofilament or Suffix. IMHO, they're both better brands than Trilene, or any of the Berkley line for that matter.

![]() I went to the Stroh Brewery in Allentown,Pa. Years ago.I was suprised to find out that they brew not only their own beer but beer for others too!Such as Samuel Adams.Their florida brewery was producing Lone Star beer, which untill that point i thought was only brewed in Texas(I love that beer)The difference is in the formula used. They brew it to the recipie that is used by that particular brand.I think it may be the same with the fishing line. I use Trilene Maxx and personally have had no trouble with it. Just my $.02. It's my life savings and i'm proud ![]() Last edited by Whup; 04-24-08 at 10:36 AM. |

Berkley freakin owns everything. It's like a fishing monopoly. (almost)

Nope. I really don't think Stren is owned by Berkley. Anybody know for sure? Even if it is, Stren in much better than trilene, IMO.

Pure Fishing which is the mothership owns both Berkley and Stren along with half of the fishing market.

But, Trilene isn't made at the same factories as Stren, nor in the same way.
