Default gettin skinny on badin

well i have fished badin enough to know when it is time to sneak WAY back into da creeks.. but man does it ever produce..if i was any father up this creek i would be inside new london city limits..

think i may be needin a shorter shaft on the next troller

today in the skinny water alone 8 bass big about 4 pounds. ran to the other end of badin "gladys fork" was just mindin my own business when all heck starts breakin loose. the striper, cat fish, and bass had a big school of shad hemed in skinny water. -3-4 feet- and were beating them bad..i easied out in to the churning water and with lost no time hookin up a striper. eww he is a dink..

i caught about 15 of these lil beast. took 6 more bass big in the 5 pound range. a ton of cat fish had 9 in my boat at once.-took an HOUR to clean up the mess-

dam cat fish bleed like stuck pigs i tell ya..

i was using a sebile chugger and a dt 6..i hooked up a big striper well over 12 pounds. and off to the races we go. he jumps and breaks my dt 6. bastage!!!

i would toss the dt 6 at them busting and once clear of that spot i would keep my eyes open and chunk the sebile. i was not popin it -they would not hit it- but steady retrive just wakin the surface was the ticket. only one striper made the trip to the live well he was 8.6 pounds.. i had 2 fish on at the same time several times..yeah i know "what are they doing THERE??" as they are supose to be making there spawning run to the upper dam..

hooked 4 flat heads 5 blues and one channel cat..small fish went about 3 pounds big was 20+ pounds -of all the times to leave my scale at home- of course when fighting mid sized cat fish on a TOP WATER rod using 8 pond TEST you don't have time or want to take pictures.. i got a major doh! in my regular top water reel putting it out of action. be ampin the poundage in my back up reel though..

by the way this is my first top water bass..he is a dink but what ever

That's my type of fishin' right der. The one I wanted to fish yesterday was blocked by a tree that was half chewed by a beaver. He better finish the job or I need to start packin' a chain saw.
