I'd like opinions as well. May fish a free tournament this weekend but you can only use gambler baits. I have never used any. Do they only make plastics?

Default Gambler Baits...

I fish their Stick Baits called the Ace, and also the Giggy Stick. The Ace is a 5 inch stick bait, and the Giggy Stick is like a finesse worm but with a small tube tail on it, great for texas rigging or shaky heads. I also cannot say enough about the Gambler Bite (the scent)... when the fish bite down on those, they do not let go!!!

Never used them, but we got a pack of the crickets (I think), they are just craws. They remind me of the Zoom Grass craw. anyways, we got em free from the guy my dad bought his reel from. We have'nt tried them yet, but will.

I'll give a report next week. decided to fish the tournament and stocked up on a few items today. Toads, lizards, big worms, and sticks. After my scientific research is done I'll post the conclusions.

Watermelon/ red flake. Maybe another color too. My partner picked up the big worms at a tackle store he went to. I picked up the others myself. Everyone has sold out because of the tournament this weekend. We had to go to separate shops and get on the phone to come up with everything we needed. And right now if you throw a lot of 7" stuff you will catch a million spots that barely measure. Got to go big enough to keep the small stuff off. And its tough considering a 15" fish will go after a 11" worm in a heart beat.

I've used them. They seem to have a little harder plastic and are about the same as Charlies Worms in their action.

A long time ago I used to use Gambler craws in junebug or emerald and they were very effective. Just one of those baits I've gotten away from.

Gambler plastics work well, just need to find what color, type, and style of their worms...that floats your boats

I used them a lot in my teens, then left them. Found them again recently, they are night and day better than what I remember 15 years ago.

10" X-Mas texas rigged has been the most productive. Plus they stink, literally. You can smell them from accross the boat.

I threw out all other worm brands after about a month of using them < ---Not kidding.

Sorry I missed the tournament.... Didn't matter though.... 3 fish limit and it took over 18 lbs. to win..........and 18 lbs. for second..........and 18 lbs. for third............... geez, I thought 15 would have been a good number. I have a feeling there were a lot of guides there. Wish I fished every day of the week! Maybe someday.
