Well, came home with a limit of four fish between my friend and I. Four halibut and a cod the captain kept for bait. I only caught three, two halibut on a 10" Berkley Powerbait Saltwater Worm (Curl-tail), and one cod on the same 1-pound jig. My two halibut were snagged in the side, but fought real well on that G. Loomis Muskie Jerk Bait rod matched with 100-odd Power Pro. :

We originaly started fishin' with 6-pounds of lead because the tide was pullin' hard, then it calmed so we dropped to 1's, 2's, and a couple rods rigged with 4's. It was sweet, the rods were custom Lamiglas, 5'6'', " Alaskan Gold Series - Halibut ". They also had some 8'6'' "Alaskan Nooky" Lamy customs for silver/pink salmon.

Overall a good trip with the whole boat of six people limiting out. We brought home 40-50-pounds of fish. Not too bad at $15.99/lb...

King's tomorrow!

Bears? No!

Caribou? Over 300 easily..

Moose? Probably 15 or more...

Eagles? 10 or better....

Got out King Salmon fishin' today, I was the only in the boat to catch fish. I caught three.

1) 33-35#
2) 18-20#
3) 12-15#

Not a bad day at all, although my partner lost two that would have matched my number one.

P.S. - KING'S AGAIN TOMORROW!

Mom said I couldn't tote the digital up here..

All I had is some cheap disposable that took 19 of 36 pictures in my pocket so I chunked it.

Went out after King's today and I successfully landed the only King of the day, 38"x23"; around 40-pounds.

No way was that fish 40lbs! Did you stuff expensive tungsten into it? I've caught fish the same size that went 23-25lbs. Sounds like fun anyways. Except I was just up north in cold weather.

Dude, them Alaskan fish eat. That fish was every bit of 40-pounds. Up there, one inch is about one to one and a quarter pounds, so....

I also picked up a G-Loomis for my Senko/Drop-Shot/Shakey Head. It's the GL3, although I really wanted the IMX, but the IMX was one piece, wouldn't fit on a plane, so the GL3 it was.

If you still wanna complain about those rods, I'll post a picture by three p.m.

So, you're telling me, if you catch a 12" fish, it'll way at least 12lbs............

And I see you're moving up to some good rods. You'll see, after that Loomis, no more St Croix for you...
