SAM RAYBURN: Lots of patterns going on right now. The topwater bite is on early morning with several over 8 lbs. comming in this last week. Plastic frogs worked around hydrilla grass beds and Lilly pad thickets produced some real Big Bass.

Water temps are upper 80's and the moss beds are plentiful with Bass hiding on edges and in the mats.

10 inch worms and Texas rigs caught quality Bass on 8 foot edges of the hydrilla. Good colors were Plum and Red-bug. Carolina rigs worked around these same areas produced some Big Bass as well with good keeper Bass. Flukes, worms, and french fries were good baits this week. Bigger Bass were caught on 3/4 onuce to 1 ounce pegged Texas rigged worms and creature baits punched through 8-10 foot hydrilla as well as the same weight Jigs.

LAKE PALESTINE:


Topwaters are hot right now with yellow magics and smaller poppers catching early morning along with plastic frogs.

Texas rigged creature baits and wacky rigged worms are good choices. Good colors have been Junebug and darker colors. Spinnerbaits in whites or Chartruses worked along channels have been catching also. Good Bass over 5 lbs. came in last week. Flukes worked slightly weighted in white and watermelons have been catching also up to about 5 lbs.
