Went out again this weekend at Canyon Lake. Launched from Cranes Mill at 6:20, with slick calm waters and cool air. Water temp stayed consistent around 80. After loading up on shad and bluegill in the livewell we made a run to the dam, and started trolling crankbaits for bass and/or striper. While of that produced nothing so we fished out live baits. That too produced nothing, so tried flipping in some trees, rock walls, everything everywhere on the lake. Only yielded 1 small striper which was released. The next day (sunday, today) was a repeat, with only one small LM and a big white.

you may have to graph some deep drop offs and look for fish, we are getting the suspended ones from 7-13 ft, over 20-40 feet of water, depends on the bank. I'd stick to crankin....
