Well, as you can imagine, San Diego is still up in arms at the inadertant whistle against Denver. Never being one to let a fire die down, I posted this in "the lounge" of my a San Diego fishing site. I might not be getting Christmas cards from those guys.
NFL Considering rule changes 14 Minutes ago AP-San Diego, CA Roger Goodell acknowledged the receipt of NFL form 928-A from the San Diego Chargers. Form 928-A is used by NFL teams to request a review of all rules and regulations governing the NFL. The request has come from the office of A.J Smith, GM of the Chargers. Smith has officially requested that games be shortened to 58 minutes. According to Smith, "Had this rule been in place at the start of this season, we would be 2-0" An unidenitified source from ESPN went on record as saying. "If the Chargers are going to continue playing a prevent defense that is designed to keep the other team out of the parking lot rather than the end zone, then something has to be done." We attempted to reach Mike Shanahan, head coach of the Denver Broncos, but sources say he is still at church thanking God for the victory handed to him. ---END----
