I would have to disargee on the fishermans knot it does not test very good on breaking strength and I have had them slip before and now use the palomar 100% of the time no problems.

Same hear TM I have lost countless lures and fish because of a fishermans knot slipping. If you practice you can do the palomer pretty fast.

The polamar knot is good for everything except for tying your work boots in the morning. It a S. O. B. to untie in the evening when you get home from working all day. :

I think the polamar knot was introduced in the early instructions to the Whiz- Bang lures. They are very rare to find because the very first thing you did was throw the lure box in the wood stove. It goes to show you where there is a great lure, there's a great knot head involved some where. Knot that is. ;D P N J

How do you all like to fish a buzz bait? Do you steadily reel it in on the top of the water or what.

I have found two things. One, a fisherman's knot is very effective if you wet it with saliva before you tighten it, never had a problem. I started using the palomar for my braided line on the recomendation of this site, and it works great...however, you cant take it out, unless someone can tell me how.

Just to throw another opinion in-but usually use a snap. I tie to the snap with the Berkley knot. Never had a problem doing it that way, and makes changing lures easier.
