Default While YOUR fishing

Well here is what we are dealing with up here in NW Indiana. While all our southern brothers are trying to decide which bait is going to call up ole lunkermouth, were just trying to stay ahead of the snow storms. We had a heavy snow storm roll in off the big lake and dumped close to 30 inches of snow in 24 hours. Here is a photo of my patio table so you can see what mother nature left behind in her path. Sorry about the quality. This was taken after dark with my cell phone.

I was going to post a picture of my patio furniture but the glare of the pool made it a bad pic. Darn kids kept splashing around in it

Hey, hold on a second. We are supposed to hit mid twenties in the morning. I actually had to turn on my heater twice this year. You guys whine and cry about a little white stuff and how great we got it................................................ ............

Was that convincing??? Oh well, yeah mid twenties. But I got sunburned last week fishing. Spring will be coming soon, hang in there.

That looks like an Igloo. I hate seeing the snow put people in danger and after all the ice we've had we could use a break but I would love to get a good snow. We've not had a good one in about 10 years I guess. One about axle deep to a farris wheel will do.

Its suppose to warm up to 50 degrees this weekend and melt alot of the snowpack that we have here. It feels like -13 degrees with the wind chill right now, this weekend's temps will definitely feel like a Heat Wave.

I can only guess how many flooded basements there will be this weekend woody. Only in the midwest can we get 60 degree temp changes overnight. I see you guys got socked pretty good down there in Indy a couple times the past week.

Yea we did, with last weeks snowstorm and then this past Tuesday we had white out conditions, you couldn't see no more than 100 feet in front of you at times because of all the snow that was falling. There was 30 car pile up on the interstate because of the poor visibility, slick roads and people driving to fast. The cars in the opposite lanes were trying to warn them by flashing their lights at them but it was to late for alot of them, unfortunately there were 3 fatalities and many people hurt.

thats right...In SC, it may be below freezing sometimes and stay that way for a while, there may be ice, but we never got snow...We got maybe 10 inches four years ago, and then the only snow we had before that was back in 1996, we got like a foot or so...They cancelled the schools for a week because we are not use to snow....

If you ever want to see unbelievable snow, look up the Tug Hill Plateau. It's right up the way from me and my family used to have a little hunting and fishin' shack up there. Like nothing you've ever seen. It's perennially one of he highest snowfalls per year in the country! Cold as can be too!

I got up this morning and it was pretty chilly...thermometer on the porch said it was 68 degrees. Brrrr...

Of course for the tournament in 2 weeks it will be 29, wind howling, and raining.

29 would be like a heat-wave for us here in Maine...we have had a brutally cold winter here this year..when I left last saturday for the fishing expo is was -13 below zero at 5am...the coldest temps that we have seen this year was in the area of -28 below...your lungs literally ache when you take a deep breath

And THAT is why I don't live up north. That and I have no interest in drilling holes in ice to fish. Well, there is a whole laundry list of reasons, but those will do for now.

Well the snow pack is history now. And I've noticed the local ponds are starting to thaw. Come on Spring!
