Me and my dad are headed to Florida for 5 days on July 27th, we would like to find a cheap guide on Okeechobee, any help would be great, or if we cant find a cheap one, we would like to rent a boat, anybody know of the cheapest ones that we could find, and since Ive never fished in Florida, what baits should we throw, that is if we don't have a guide, any help would be great, Thanks, Cory Sparks

Are you using live bait or artificle bait??
I wouldn't pay a guide. When we went down there we bass fished one day and caught plenty of fish. We put in at Roland Martin and went left once we got in the canal. We rode until we pasted another landing and then we started fishing the rock with top water. Make sure you read the laws and regulations before you start fishing. Each lake in Florida has different possession limits and different size limits. Good Luck and let us know how it works out for you. |

I've seen many a guy that just locates a slip or marina that a guide goes out of daily, then waits till he gets a client and follows them around all day. Kinda crummy but you'll get some free fishing spots out of the deal and probably "the bird" from the capn lol
Capn mike you ever had this happen to you ? |

What's that about Brookville? Great Lake, from what I've seen. I hear the walleye fishing is outstanding!
