Default Dinner experiment

Ok, all these pictures of people's food creations got my creative juices flowing, so I decided to try something for Mother's Day. Louann seemed to enjoy it...

Marinate thin sliced steak in a mixture of Italian dressing and Dale's steak marinade.

Spread a layer of cream cheese over each piece.

Add bacon

Sautee bite size shrimp in vegetable oil and garlic till almost done.

Add shrimp to the pile, roll up like a burrito, and toothpick in place. Put in oven at 350 for about half an hour.
Hindsight is 20/20...you might want to try wrapping them individually in aluminum foil before putting them in the oven...keeps the outside from getting too done and dry before the inside is cooked through.

Cut up some zucchini and squash, and let them soak in some Italian dressing for a little while, then sautee till tender.

Add a green salad, knife, and fork, and you're good to go.

I concur. Add collards and mustard to that too.

I've got a friend of mine that thinks the same thing. Funny thing is, that same friend loves dipping Cheetos in money mustard dressing. Now tell me, how much sense does that make?
I prefer squash either grilled, or fried. This way isn't my favorite, but it'll do when you're in a hurry. And fried okra is one of absolute favorite foods that I've ever had. It comes just under "medium-rare Porterhouse," and above "fried chicken."

I like okra breaded and fried crispy. But the way folks fry it around here with all the slime... no thank you.

Never had okra but I agree on the zucchini and squash, with the exception of fried zucchini and zucchini bread
