Default Carshow at the Jot'em down store....

Well, sort of....lol. I don't suppose any of ya'll are old enough to remember a couple of ol'boys by the name of Lum & Abner do ya?.....lol. Well, them boys growed up in our neck of the woods, and every year our little town holds the Lum & Abner festival at the city park which is just 2 blocks from our home. Because of our little towns association with hotrodders, they always have a decent car show so I thought i'd share pics of a few favorites from this year.

What do I mean by our association with hotrodders?....Anyone familier with BRODIX cylinder heads?....What about Steet & Performance engines? These two companys and several others that cater to the hotrod and racing world are located here in middle of nowhere Arkansas....lol. Some of the nicest cars and engines shown in carshow circuits all over the country are built by guys in our little community. But, i'm a gearhead from way back so I think thats kinda cool....Anyway, enjoy the pics.

Man...that '70 Torino is my idea of the perfect muscle car. Plenty of room for a big block, and good aerodynamics that bring the ban from NASCAR back to mind.

They have really customized it perfectly.

I live in southern WV. They still play Lum and Abner everyday. That's why the name of your thread caught my attention.

Thats cool....We get a noon time dose of them good ol'boys everyday around here, but I guess you'd expect that since they kinda put this part of the country on the map so to speak....lol. Pine Ridge, Arkansas and the Jot'em down store are just down the road a piece. I enjoy their radio programs.....Funny stuff even by todays standards.

I'm glad ya'll are diggin the cars....I suppose my favorite would be the Torino....I had a black 72 Gran Torino Sport as a young man, that i'd love to have back now....Those Torinos just had a slick body style that I sure did like.
