Default The buzzbait experiment

I posted in another section about my buzzbait color experiment. Both the black and white colors worked well for numbers. I caught them all weekend on both. The white seems to be giving up bigger fish. My three biggest so far this year have all come on a white one. Anyway, here are a couple from this past weekend:

That's it. I'm getting a white buzzbait... Did I mention I have never caught a bass on a buzzbait? I find your results encouraging and inspiring. Thanks.

I'm really not sure why buzzbaits work so well here, but lately it seems they're biting them the best. I've tried using other topwater baits like a Spook and frog around docks, but there must be something about the squeaking of a buzzbait that drives them nuts! Me and my little bro got out on Saturday morning and had the best day of the year. We started out with a 3.5 lb largemouth on the buzzbait, then I boated a 3 lb smallie on a Bandit crank. We proceeded to put lots of small fish in the boat, then my bro found a couple of 2-2.5 lb largies on the buzzbait. Our best 5 would have gone 11-12 lbs.
