Arrow Anyone having barbecue tonight?

Anyone having barbecue tonight? We're having some baby backs, a chiggin, and a nice hunka pork! Oh and how could I forget Grandma's favorite? Brunswick stew! Stew's been cooking all day, and we just put the meat in! Should be good!

How about y'all? Post pics if ya can.

Let me just say, everyone here loves mallenBBurgers now and begged me to make em for tonight. But since this is my favorite holiday and I'll be preoccupied setting up for the fireworks show, I said no. So we'll be having fried chicken, something we can just pick up, no cooking involved.

well i smoked a pork shoulder and took it to my parents house, there were 5 slabs of ribs, done in different ways on the grill (grilled, smoked so forth.), pork shops, chicken and my pulled pork shoulder. sides were tater salad, b-b-q beans, deviled eggs (which i ate most ALL of, hehe.), roasted corn on the cob (grilled injun style), umm..... man there was so MUCH food i can't remember what all i ate. but i know it was ALOT! haha. then we had 15 different deserts including 3 kinds of homemade icecream. i am so stuffed, i may not eat for 2 days now. feel like akid that ate too many sweets and got a stomach ach. hahaha, but i feel good today. got to see my family and tell em how much i love em. tell yours everytime you get the chance gang, neve know what might happen tomorrow.

Btw, that speedie soaked (2 days) chicken was GREAT! I finally got the chicken thing down - used to slather on the BBQ sauce too early and it just burned cause of the sugar. Now, if/when I use the BBQ sauce, it only goes on for the last 5 minutes or so. Also, I cook 'em on low heat (gas grill) for almost an hour so there's no flare up.
In this case, no BBQ sauce was added (I had some as a dippin sauce) and these birds were mighty tasty if I do say so myself.
(Hard to beat a go marinate).

Yup it's gotta be low heat, and the last 5 minuets or less like you said!

Sounds good!

We also like to wrap our meats in foil the lat half hour of cooking. Keeps it real moist!
