Default It could end in divorce...

So, we were going out fishing and the guy manning the launch pointed out this really good fishing spot over by some cliffs. Turns out it is a great spot and one time I was catching fish (mostly perch and small bass) on every cast!

Well, this time out, I'm not getting much, but my wife is catching them so fast I can hardly keep a line in the water (I have to remove fish from her hook). She caught 10 (One was a 15" Smallie) to my meager 2!

That night, I hear her on the phone bragging to her mother. "He's got all this fancy tackle and [slip] bobbers and I just use a hook and worm." Then later, she's sitting in the recliner with a big grin, pretending to cast and retrieve....just rubbing it in! So now I call her Gadabout Gladdis.

Okay, I was only kidding about the divorce...I can't afford it!

Instead of divorcing the lady you should hit her up for tips and advice.

That ain't no lady, that's my wife! <hehe> It was just a joke son, been married to her fer 37 years! (imagine that)

It was all in fun. She was remembering fishing with her grandfather and thought he would be proud of her. Her grandfather had a cottage on a small lake near here and fished often and took his grandkids fishing a lot.

I suppose WTL knew you were kidding. I think he was just busting your twig and giggle berries a bit.

Yea I knew he was joking. The default assumption on this board is, if it dont quite make sense, its a punchline.

My wife likes to fish, but she cant even use a spinning reel without tangles... so it doesnt happen much and when it does its usually bluegill fishing...
