Hey guys, sorry, I've not been able to get on the internet for for sometime, and am finaly getting a chance now. But I've been here since sunday, and am LOVING the fall colors, never seen 'em before.
![]() ![]() ![]() Weather wise has been nice, first few days it was in the 40's, but it's been in the 60's the last 2, and has not frosted. Still t-shirt and jeans weather! ![]() We're still getting settled in, but the house is pretty much cleaned and we're no longer living out of suit cases. ![]() ![]() We're gonna start school monday, and hopfully I'll be able to get on the football team still. See ya for now, don't know when I'll be online next, but my dad's gonna try to get it at the house soon.

Glad you're not freezing your butt off Sammy.... Yet!
![]() By the way, when the ice comes in on the lake, make sure there's about 4" before you go out on it, and watch for thin spots. ![]() BB

Wow! I'm jealous..I wish I had 44 acres of hunting land, unfortunately everything here is either posted or getting bought up by conservation groups. I have been a bow hunter for a while and will tell you that you don't need to be concerned about how much you can pull...I have my bow set at 60lbs and that's plenty to put down a big buck...accuracy is much more important than draw weight..I have seen a bow set at 40lb get a double lung pass through on a 160lb doe..especially with the technology in the bows nowadays, don't get caught up in the hype of pulling a lot of weight..instead work on accuracy and consistency... ok I'm done..kind of going on a tangent..congrats on your move

Jason is right... excpet be mindful of state law... in Ky, i believe all bows have to be at least 55 lb draw
Aside from that, how the hell did i miss the posts about you actually moving... this is the first i have heard of it. |

Man it sounds like you are enjoying yourself Sammy, that is great. I am glad that things are starting to look up for all of you guys. Your first smallie huh? That is cool, I have caught several of them around here and there is nothing like them. Smallies will out fight a largemouth hands down and are just beautiful fish. Your living on a bunch of Wisconsin deer hunting land too? Man you have it made! Hopefully you will get into hunting too, it's a blast and a great way to spend days that are too cold for fishing. A quick tip though, if you are struggling to pull that bow back now, chances are you won't be able to pull it back when you have heavy clothes on and it's cold outside so don't be afraid to turn that baby down a little bit. My bow is set at 70lbs and actually pulls 72lbs but my wifes bow would kill a deer easily at 45lbs and dead is dead.
Glad you are doing good and keep us up to date.
