Default WOMEN ARE THE GREATEST!!! not a joke either.

ok, all ya'll know aobut my big toe right? well..............guess what else happened to me today.

let me go back to 2 days ago really.

2 days ago around 6:30 pm central time. i came in the house form my walk (yeah, i am walking a LOT better) and was aobut to eat me a little dinner. all of a sudden my back on the left side started to jsut hurt. aching spasm like pain. bowled me over and go so bad i started dry heaving. pain like i have never felt before. but after 30 mins or so, it went away. i quickly ate some thing thinking my sugar bottomed out. everything was fine then.

then today, SAME TIME, it happened again. only this time it didn't stop. didn't have time to eat either before i was litterly on the floor. passed out almost from the pain. confused and hurting like a #$%^&$#% (you get the idea), lisa took me to the emergency room. after they finally got me some pain meds in me, they did a sonagram. KIDNEY STONE! ( i am still on the pain meds so forgive my typing gang.) just 1 now. but it is 3 cm(?) big. too small for them to blast, or to take out with surgery. told me i would pass it on my own. but i tell you gang, if i start hurting like i did tonight........another trip to the morphine den for this man.

now back to the women.
oyuladies have my deepest and most sincere gratitude. i am in AWE and don't understand why in the world you would submit yourself to endure the pain you go through to bear children. see, i was told that kidney stones is the closet us men will ever got the pain and suffering a woman goes through during childbirth.

so ladies, mothers and mothers to be. i tip my hat and shake my head wondering all the above again. you women are the greatest thing man could ever hope to have. you go through the most agonizing pain to bring life into this world. while us men jsut look and stare with blank faces cause we don't get it. you are truly the strongest of the 2.

GOD BLESS YOU LADIES, ALL OF YOU.

AND i want to publicly thank my better half. she is really the greates thing to happen to me. she took very good care of me. listen to me moan and shout and jsut give anyone around me living heck tonight.

LISA I LOVE YOU BABY. you are truly the best thing i will ever have.

now gang.......i am gonna enjoy the rest of this HIGH i am on. till the pain returns again that is. kiss your better half gentlemen.....and tell her what i have told my lisa.

Bama, what round of the battle is this? Like you, I have an amazing wife that puts up with a lot of my crap. But she has come to terms and only hollers on occasion. But there is no telling where I would be without her.

Sorry to hear about your kidney stones John. My father has had them really bad.. he can vouch for how painful they can be.

Just a word of warning to all the fishermen out there...

A lot of times kidney stones form when you get dehydrated and drink something like iced tea or another liquid that has particulate in it.

Urologists say that if you are in the heat and are dehydrated, you should always drink water first and stay away from soft drinks. All the particulate sort-of crystallize in your kidneys and form into stones when your dehydrated.

Good luck John... and yes, women deserve a medal for childbirth.

thanks gang. i haven't passed it yet. dreading it too. i too drink too many cokes and dews. even while out fishing. i had one or 2 stones about 2-3 yrs ago. didn't even know i had them till i passed em,lol. i knew then, hahaha. but this one, just one they said, is 3 cm (?) which is about 3/8 of and inch i think. that is BIG in my opion. said they would blast it cause it is small enough to pass. RIGGGGHHHHHHHTTTTTTT!!!! i was ready for them to cut out my kidney last night. without knocking me out at that. i tell ya gang, i have NEVER been in so much pain in my life! but i will surive they said. ok........i thought. i have an appiontment with a doctor this week, but said he couldn't see me till friday. I MIGHT PASS IT BEFORE THEN! then i won't need to see him. doctors, i tell ya. but if it hasn't moved into my bladder yet, i have some meds to help ease the pain. slept most of today. guess form the meds i recieved last night. hope this thing hurries up and passs, waiting is the hardest part. i just want it got over with.
again, to all mothers out there, i STILL say oyu are the greatest! lol. childbirth is something i am glad i will never have to do. i woud KILL the husband, hahaha.

John, this just hasn't been your week, but at least you got us to harass you about it!

Hope you feel better man. I also hope you meant 3mm, not 3cm!

Dang John, You've really been through it lately! Good thing your married to a good woman. Makes all the difference in the world for us husbands! I'd feel handicapped without Michelle. Never had a kidney stone, and hope I never do. It suprises me they don't have a tablet one caan take to disolve those. Seems that wouldn't be hard to develope. When your back on your feet you owe Lisa a nice couple days of bass fishin and a good meal off the grill! Is the new shop all built and ready?

Bama don't believe the hype. Kidney stones are much worse than child birth. A woman once told me she would rather give birth than have another kidney stone. I had an experience similar to yours, it's not any fun. I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anybody.

well STILL haven't passed the @#$% stone. starting to wonder what is going on,lol. scaired to pee too, hahaha. and keith, i was thining the EXACT same thing last night. why cn't they come up with a pill or something that can disolve those things. seems simple to me as well. lisa has been wonderful. i am getting on her nerves now and i got the rest of this week left at home.
the shop is up, and i am in the middle of building the counters and so forth. shelves to put my "junk" on,haha. my toe and this stone has stopped me for a bit. but i am gonna get back on it now. today even. i can move some things around now and should be able to straighten things out in there. clean up a bit.
and i AM gonna throw some baby back ribs on the grill this week. tired of sammiches, lol.
after this year, if next year don't get better................. i dunno WHAT we are gonna do.
thans for the thoughts gang. it really does help.

When you do pass it make sure you use a strainer and take a pic for us!!! If it was 3 cm then it would have been about 1 1/4". Take it to a jeweler and get it cut and made into something nice .

it is 3 mm 3d. and as i type this it is moving agian. i think it is almost in my bladder. pain is almost unbearable folks. i have a strainer cause the doctors want to see if there is anything besides it being a stone.

At 3mm, you're looking at it being about .11 inches, or a little over 1/10"

Didn't they give ya any good pain pills?!

Now Bama, I appreciate yer accolades fer the opposite sex and I won't begin to say I understand how it feels to pass a basketball sized child out what was once a small orifice, BUT how are we to lend credence to a fella that's all hopped up on dope cause he's got a tiny thing in his tiny thing ?!
Rest assured that this too shall pass.

Seriously man, sorry for your trouble and hope you're on the mend soon.

hahahaha abbey, i feel ya man. that is what scaires me the most, something so big coming outta something so small.

went through the agony again this evening. i am ok now. i think it FINALLY moved into my bladder. gotta tell ya folks, i wouldn't wish this on my WORST enemy.......well maybe a couple, lol. i gotta get this out of me. the waiting is terrible. and to think that women go through 24 hours sometimes during labor. heard of some going 3 days.

an old high school friend told me his sister in law has kids and had kidney stones, she said to let her give childbirth over the stones. like that makes me feel better. lol.

DAng it all, John. You're going to have to get well now. What did ya do to your toe? I've been seeing the Physical Therapist for torn ligaments in my right ankle (ain't well yet , but getting better). I'll take my ankle over your situation any day!! I've never had those danged things and don't ever want them either!! Kev's advice is well worth heeding! I've been a water and Power Aid drinker for years and (knock on wood!) never had those things.
Get well, Bubba, and give Lisa a hug for me!

I've had a couple over the last year or so...so I know your pain. It's the kind of pain where you either want them to take it out or kill you to stop the pain. It took over a month to get rid of one I had. They had to shove an 18" tube about the diameter of a pencil up my bro to get rid of his. Hope you don't have to get that..
My wife is over in Ireland right now on business but yeah, without her I'm poo.
