pork, because it is just an all around better jig trailor, also it is made of real pork, which gives it a good scent.

Southern, I use plastic trailers. I have not seen a day they would not catch a fish yet.Even when the jig bite is off, you can still catch at least one fish on a jig and plastic pig. P N J

I'm with PnJ. I just use plastic with one exception-water below 50 degrees. Then I may use pork as a trailer.

the ol guys that taught me to fish always stressed
with colder water temps to use the pig n jig...pork

when the water gets over 68 use both but the plastic seems to get better results

As many a boat owner knows, when you flip around with the uncle josh pork and then decide to switch rods, ya have to leave the pork dangling over the boat to keep from drying out, and on those real hot days when you run n gun for spots, the pork sits on top of the deck baking away while you find the next spot and soak it again, and of course there are those handy covers that keep pork moist, but real men dont fess up to carry those lol
so, i think the alure of easy to keep plastics to flip with versus pork on hot days does warrant consideration..[img] http://image.basspro.com/images/imag...000/73047i.jpg [/img]

well plastics offer you a lot better action and are way easier to mess with but then again you dont get the scent you do with pork its all just a matter of personal preferance.

Southern, I always saturate my jig with something before it hits water.I would not waste my time relying on the built in scent they say works, it would be better than nothing but buy additional scents and use them like the expiration date is about up on it. ;D P N J

Your right, us REAL MEN do not use those little "sissy" wraps on our pork. We are smart enough to dangle them in the livewell when they are not being used. :
