Tell me about Keith. Luckily I'm working in my dad's shop while I'm on break, so that should keep me busy. Once we've got some free time, we'll start ice fishing. Not my first choice of things to do, but better than not fishing.

Have you organized your tackle yet? Or a better question, how many times have you organized you tackle?

Just watch out for the monkey. This is his favorite time of year cause it's so much easier to sneak up on us right now. You'll be reading the forum and next thing you know, you're confirming your order from TW!

We just got another 7" of snow on Monday. The Twin Cities radio station I was listening to on the way to work this morning said they are 1 "snow emergency" declaration short of tying the record for the most in one season...and it's not even the New Year yet. Yikes!

I have already gone completely through all my tackle once this off-season and gave large amounts of my 'excess' plastics/etc. (is there such a thing as excess? ) to my nephews and brother-in-law. I'm sure I'll be starting the next pass through it in early January.

Well, I too have been tired of sitting around the house and organizing tackle... so myself and cavs1123 got out and did some trout fishing today on a nearby creek... landed two decent ones. About a 12" rainbow and a 14" brook trout. It was a fun day for sure!

I found the cure for this cabin fever. A muscle car and a summit racing catalog..

My cure for cabin fever this past Sunday was cleaning out the garage. Eight hours later I was done with it. The upside to it is that I can get to my work bench so I can work on fishing gear.

I spend the winter cleaning reels and firearms. This winter I beating cabin fever by feeding my other monkey. He has me building an AR-15 from parts

Here is an idea for ya boss since your new to that area. Take the off time this winter to visit various lakes your interrested in fishing but are unfamiliar with. Check out and write down the location of launch sites, boat rental locations, tackle shop names and locations as well as phone numbers to call for suggestions and answers to fishing conditions.
