Its really very informative. |

hahaha no problem g-man. we would have answered you anyway. and the answer is; it depends on what oyu are using as bait, where oyu are using it and for what type of presentation you are wanting to use. very complicated, yet, after a while it becomes second nature. now, i NEVER use flouro. just haven't seen the benifits of it for my style of fishing. but i am NOT knocking it whatsoever. alot of folks use it and never use mono. jsut a preference on what YOU like my friend. experiment and find which you prefer.
you can use mono, flouro and braid. which is what MOST people do. i only use mono and braid. more braid than mono because of WHERE i fish most times. so oyu understand a little more now buddy? if not. jsut give it some time. you will get it, i promise.

I scrapped my flouro last year in favor of P Lines Flouroclear. It's a flourocarbon coated copoly line. Best of both worlds.

There is NO best of anything....There is only what is best for YOU. You ask 10 ppl what is the best of anything and odds are you will get 10 different answers. Only advise I can give you is try out some of the lines that ppl reccomend and findout what works best for you.
With that said I prefer Florocarbon lines on 90% of my rods. From jigs to worms to crankin its all floro. I use seagar invisX. AWESOME stuff. For all my swimbait rods I use Braid with a Berkely Big Game leader in 25lb test. For my dropshot, darterhead, flickshake or other application on a spinning reel/rod I use 15 braid with 6-8# floro leader. I prefer to make my leader the same length as the rod.... I hope it helps point you in a good direction. |

I use Flouro on contact baits (t-rig, jigs, shakey head, drop shot, wacky rig). But due to budget concerns I use 12lb mono for pretty much every thing else. I just cant afford to put flouro on every rod i own.

I use any type of line and then use about two feet of floro when using baits I want to sink quicker then using mono. The floro in the 20 pound test is really good in brush and trees and rocks.
