Strike King Tungsten
and a chance to dance with the Monkey...again.
Denny said they were coming out very soon and here they are!!! So yesterday me and the Monkey did a little dance. Got a gift card for Cabelas and got some input on a new crankbait rod. Made a run down to BPS on Sunday and checked out the Shimano Compre and Crucial TC4 rods. Looked online at Cabelas but their Crucial Crankbait rods didn't state if they were IM9 or the TC4 construction so I called them to find out. Turns out they don't carry the TC4 Crucial. So I picked up the Compre TC4 which was also $20 off (actually need to print out and mail the rebate form). But if I spent $150 I'd get free shipping (which was the price of the Crucial so since I was going to spend that much anyway I thought why not). So in order to get "free" shipping I needed to spend a little more $$$. Hmmmm. Yes I'll take some of the new weights....3/8 oz will work. And I'll take a couple BBZ-1 Baby swim baits....On sale? Excellent. Oh yes that Hardcore Drum looks good. Mmmmm what else? Oh yeah give me a pack of those Berkley 5" hand poured shad. So minus the gift card, $20 rebate, and no shipping total cost to me.....$68 Sweeeeeeeeet! Strike King Tungsten Worm Weights

Tungsten weights are $5.99 to 6.99. Did the math and (3) 3/8 oz weights are a combined 1 1/8oz. Better deal than the (2) 1/2's or the 3/4 or the 1 oz wts. Probably be a little while before we see a sale or discount since they're new. Denny said that yes they were made to replace his TT flipping weights. I don't know if Tru-tungsten had a patent on the shape of their flipping weight but Strike King is now making them. |
