				 | Finally I got to get out

This was probably my shortest fishing trip in my boat ever! I was back home in about 4 hours. But it was worth the time spent. I'd stayed much longer but 40MPH plus winds drove me off the lake. I had my best luck with a jig and caught a couple on a spinnerbait. I landed 6 today. Here are a few of those. The bite was good but it was only good on the north end of the lake which was the end getting battered by heavy waves. It was cast, hook, land the fish and scramble to get the boat back out before getting driven onto shore. The jigs caught on fast early, but once the wind and waves kicked into high gear it was spinnerbait time. I wasn't sure I was going to make it back to the launch which was on the south end of the lake. Trying to get back with a trolling motor going into the wind and waves got me no where, so I had to oar hard most of the way. And that was with a 55# thrust motor on a 12 foot jon boat, haha. But I had fun. Kept a couple for dinner tonight. That put a smile on my wifes face.

Right on I can only wish ice still on lakes and pouring rain and wind that will help melt and break up the ice . Great job
