Default Pimpin' Flippin' Stick

This is a Castaway BB965 8' blank, double exposed Castaway reel seat, AmTak guides, and a Forecast weight system (Which is why I call it Pimpin Flippin - It just hollers pimp cane). Not only is it a rod, it doubles as a night stick. I built the rod with a 13" handle and the tip balances between 1-2 o'clock for usual waiting position. The rod was built for a Quantum Accurist PT w/the flippin' switch. I used variegated blk/gry thread for the guides, and met gunmetal and red to highlight the reel and weight on the rod. But the guy told me he didn't want a lot of thread work on the blank, and I just used it for the stickers. The rod weighs in a 6.2 w/o the weight (5 oz). Pretty heavy, but the balance makes up for it to me, and hopefully the guy I made it for. Your criticisms and compliments are gratefully accepted.

Would be nice to be on WFN. Some scroungy fisherman saying, "WFN, please pimp my stick!" I like it.

I am surprised this rod is not 7'6" by now as many times as I hit the ceiling with it. I made sure no fans were on, moving room to room.

It looks good Bubba! Pimpin aint easy! I love your thread colors. I am going to have to get some of that black and gray vari. I bet you can sling a heavy bait a mile with an 8' rod.

My buddy called me today and said he christened it this afternoon. He said it was like cane poling minis over his head on the 12" bass. But he did say he got it just in time. Told me he let a buddy borrow his boat and they stepped on a few guides on his old flippin' stick. I want to know what it does when he sticks a big momma though. Can't wait for the verdict to see if it will turn her head like it should.
