I am going to a small fishing tournament, just a couple of friends and me, and I was just wondering what some of the best all around reservoir fishing baits are? The reservoir has rocks all around it, and cement piers, along with a small boat ramp. I was just wonderin what some of the best all around baits are? I am going around Memorial Day. This is at Beaver Creek Reservoir in Green Springs, Ohio.

Could you get a little more specific? What I mean is what kind of cover-weeds, lillypads, flooded timber, etc., is the water clear, stained, muddy-this type of thing. Give us some specifics and we'll point you in the right direction.

Get a topo of the reservoir. It's obviously been man made, which measn there are probably roadbeds under water now. Those are always great places to start on a reservoir.

I fish nothing but resevoirs where I live some have nothing but weeds for cover...others nothing but wood. Â*One has nothing but docks lined around 1,100 miles of shoreline. Â*Same baits work in all of them, basically. Â*Try and findout what seasonal pattern bass will be in at that time and make your lure choices accordingly. Â*Crankbaits, Â*spinnerbaits, jig-n-pigs with pork or plastic trailers. soft plastics like lizzards, craws, creature baits, senko's. Â*Also find out the main forages and match the hatch and use color selections according to the water color and clarity.
