Out of curiosity, what brand and model rod is it?
New cork and reel seat is a tough fix that may be costly. It might not be worth it if the rod isn't too expensive. The cork will have to be removed, then the new cork will have to be put on from the end of the rod, so it has to be reamed out enough to fit over the rod's butt. Then it'll need to be shimmed up because once in place, it'll be too loose. BB

Flipper in Gallatin can fix it I'm pretty sure. He does general rod repairs. I've never heard of him doing anything more than new guides and tips, but that doesn't mean he can't or won't. I'd give him a shout and ask him. Ask for Flipper if you call and tell him about your problem. If that doesn't work I can do it, but I have about 7 rods to do inbetween an already busy schedule.

Aren't GLoomis rods covered by a lifetime warranty? If the seat came loose, you might be able to get a replacement from Loomis. A reel seat really shouldn't ever come lose.

I was thinking that Gloomis' had a lifetime warranty on all their rods too. Original owner I think though.

My dad sent his GLX in for some warranty repair and he said it was a smooth transaction and there were no questions asked. He did have to wait a few weeks to get it back though. I would check with G.Loomis first and see what they say.
