I'm going to go out on a limb and say you were fishing Patoka today. Between the pathetic fishing and the overly-aggressive DNR, I'm sick of that hellhole.

yep...crap. boat oevrheat alarm went off when i was running 10 mph. (which ive since found out was just a false alarm.) so i figured it might be getting hot from being under so much load shoving the water. i got up on plane at about 15-20 mph and it quit doing it. i tried to get out of there like that and of course got nailed. and of course he didnt care about that story. said he had heard all that before. told him whatever,i really could care less what you believe. i wont be back there anyway. i told him if i really wanted to speed ,id be running 50 plus and i wouldnt have stopped anyway. i almost told him he was just mad cause i was fishing and he had to work, but figured id probably end up in jail after what went on after that.lol

Sorry you got a ticket, that sucks. After he gave you the ticket you should have put it up on plane and stood on the gas just for fun.

Oh....you were in one of the 10mph or less zones....I was wondering what you were doing up on plane at night hah.

Those areas are dumb...you make a bigger wake at 10 mph than you do at 40. At least it keeps the stupid jet skiers out of the prime fishing spots (mostly).

it is very dumb. theres alot of trees in there, but if you dont know how to avoid them, you shouldnt be on plane anyway. i would have no problem if it was 15-20 mph. but 10 just sucks. his only reply was, you dont have to go 10,you can go slower. i said, yeah, itll only take me 2 hrs to get out of here too.

That's why I don't fish those areas as much as I ought to. It takes half an hour to get to the back, and half an hour to get back out.
