Default inspired for my next thirty years. even if it takes that long.

If i tell my self i cannot do a certain thing, i may verry well end by becoming incapable of acomplishing it. On the contrary, if i chose to beleive i can, i will surely obtain the capability even if i do not posess it as i begin.
- Mahatma ghandi-
This has become my inspirational afirmation regarding my dream to fish competively on a professional circuit.
I descovered these words in prison. Or i would better say these words descovered me.

You can do it. Just bring your money, have you rig ready, bring lots of senkos and at least catch keepers. Set up a web site with a fishing resume and make your self into a good spokesman. Get some sponsors and just catch keepers to not 0 and you will place . Win a few you'll start getting noticed. It does get expensive , Marty stone told me he spent 127k$ just in gas, travel and entry fees for the year. But sponsors and tourneys become your business. Just remember catch a fish and place. That's what pays the bills. Win a few and some high finishes and you'll be doing well. Get good insurance on your rig also. Some will reimburse you for missed tourney fees etc. For about 500-600 per year. A good thing if you pop a motor and miss 10k$ in prepaid tourneys. Good luck! Keep your eye on the prize and don't let anyone tell you you can't do it. Just know what your getting into because hind sight is always 20/20.

Thats pretty great words to live by. I would believe that for people like you who have lived part of their lives behind bars, with much time to think about their lives and life in general, would find great encouragement in these words. And you would be correct. Possitive thinking if used by more people, could change the world as we see it. Now changing the world may not be your intention. But imagine if you indeed not only become a professional bass fisherman, but excell in it and become the kind of angler who ends up with endorsments, appearing in Bass Master magazine, and a commonly known name amoung those who follow professional bass fishing. Then imagine the message this would send to others who are behind bars, or who are in situations in their lives where they feel hopeless, and who know ending up in prison is probably their next step in life. Maybe, just maybe, without intending to do so, you could help lead others to new lives, filled with new hope and inspiration to follow their dreams. I wish you all the luck in the world. Follow your dreams.

You fellas are amazing. You must know that your words have touched me. These have been the first words of positive encorougement thats been shared with me regarding my dreams for my future. I have nearly stoped sharing wth others. Mostly i hear how i dont know enough or have enough to get anywhere. Hence my afinity for the afermation i hold. By the way, this morning around 730, i landed the largest largemouth i have yet. Alone with nature and my fish, god chose to show himself to me in the form of an 18 inch 3.8 pound beutifully marked and feircly alive large mouth. Today i got my fix. My bass "fpsx". Facing psycho-spiritual xperience. I experienced him and then released him. Not a large bass be alot of comparison but in the area of lewistn idaho, we dont have many chances to have the bass of a life time. Today was great and so have you all been. Live and let live for another days catch.
