This is not a critical thread what so ever!

Most of you already know I'm not the sharpest hook in the box.
This isn't really even a request....well maybe it is.
I know alot of you folks have been around this site for a long time and have personal relationships that have developed from this site. Hopefully I will too! But in the mean time, when you folks address a member by thier first or last name (name other than thier site referenced name like 'joedog'). I spend alot of time searching the member list trying to figure out who's talking to whom. Now if you make the mistake of referencing a 'JOE', I may be lost for days.
YES I am anial, but from following the threads, I'm definitely not alone here!
Now, if this angers anyone I'm apologizing NOW!

Joe (Joedog) I am going to say this knowing that it will probably anger you at least on some level. I for one will not stop addressing my friends on this site by their first name, I am sorry if it makes it more difficult for you to follow the thread but that is my decision. I feel like if you would use your time spent in these forums to participate in threads that actively discuss fishing related topics rather than flood them with funny antidotes that add nothing meaningfull and tend to take threads off topic that you would quickly learn who is who.

I don't mean this to sound overly critical, it is just my opinion.

You may want to check the forum listings, Non Fish related Topics 88,629 I'm pretty new.Out surpasses any other topic.
I may not be as sharp as you Tavery 5 but I feel I participate in alot of discussion and when able even give advice. I believe I may have even thanked you personaly in posts. If not, I am now, thanks.
Some people enjoy an opportunity to smile, some don't.
You can rest assured I followed this site along time before participating.
I've seen what gets POSTED.
I've brought products to the table, I've brought ideas to the table, I've brought different ideas and questions that probably motivated others ideas.
And YES I bring alot of trash with me.
It makes me happy that you are in a point in your life that brings complete happiness to you. I hope you never need a friend to help bring a smile to your face after a tough day, but some do.
Now it may sound like I'm 'angered' but I truely am not.
You may also know that the site has a persnal message site, that may have been intended for first name conversations, I really don't know.
But if you feel the site would be a better and HAPPIER site without my humor, unless it's suggested otherwise, consider it done!

Joe I have to say that I will continue to call my friends by their first name, with the exception of a few guys who have earned some nicknames along the way like curado (who is actually Bubba Bruiser). I don't have a problem with your humorous threads, but I do feel like if you want to learn peoples names you can do so either by paying attention to which member is being spoken to when someone says their name, or for that matter you can IM members and strike up a friendship with them via IM in which you will learn peoples names. It's all part of being a member of the site for a long time, you not only get to know peoples names but also make friendships in which you are on a first name basis so to speak.

Don't take this the wrong way but asking members who have friends on here not to call their friends by name is a little unfair.

Joe, I am glad that my post did not anger you, because I certainly did not mean to say that you have not started or brought insight to threads about fishing matters. I don't consider myself any sharper than most of the members on this sight and I have gained allot of valuable information from participating here.

Everyone can use some humor in their life, I myself am going through a bit of a stressfull time and some of your post have given me a minute of relief. I guess my point was that sometimes I think that a site that is primarily dedicated to fishing can do without some of the threads that are knowingly going to stir the pot so to speak.

If you noticed I did call you Joe, after you spend time here you will find that you will almost call people by their first name without even thinking about it, I am sorry that it may cause a little confusion, but it is a habit that I will probably not change.

The nice thing about this site is that there is room for all of us, and I am glad that you found your way here to participate and share.

I haven't been here very long but will admit to reading a bunch of posts with first names. It never really confused me that much as far as following a thread goes. I think Bamas name is John, NFE's name is Bryce, Bcklash' name is Ron, JRobs name is Joe, joedogs name is Joe, Bassboss name is Sam, bluebasser' name is Clayton, Tavery5' name is Tony and so on. Probabaly much ado about little, but hey what do I know or even matter...I'm short anyway

I couldn't have said it better myself. Well, maybe if I used a thesuarus. Anyways, I had the same trouble as you when I was new here wayyyy back when. Try doing what I did. I made a cheat sheet. Get yourself a piece a paper and start writting down the user names/actual names. Then start using the actual first names in your responses in posts. You'll start putting the names together in no time. Worked great for me and I still do it today when new members join who appear to plan on being involved and active. As for your humerous posts, post away pal. I usually read those early in the morning before heading off to work. Always good to start the day with a chuckle.

1st - I spell my name Kory. I know it's somewhat unusual so I am not surprised or upset when people get it wrong, but I thought you might want to have it spelled right on your sheet.

I tend to post a lot of humor, or what I like to think is humor, and non fishing stuff here in the non-fishing section, and leave the other sections alone unless I have something useful to add to the subject. And usually someone has said what I would have said by the time I get there or, being the super amature I am, just don't know. So I just read and learn, and only add what I'm certain of in the on topic sections when no one has beat me to it.

As far as names, I generally do use the names they use on the forum even if I do know their real name. Just a habit I got into on another forum where people were kinda funny about they're real names being posted.
