Default Tornado warnings

Looks like it's going to be a tough spring this year!!! Pay attention to weather forecasts and sirens.

The Branson Missouri area and the western Kentucky area also got hit early this morning. Apparently, I can sleep through a bad enough storm that produces tornados and straight line winds. Looks like one or the other missed me by about 3/4 of a mile. Not too far from my house there were barns and homes reduced to a pile of trash. From what I understand, there were no major injuries here in west Kentucky.

We got a lot of rain this morning and we've got more coming plus the front with the wreckage. Mountains usually diminish the energy but we still may see tornados and NC looks like it's in the path as well.

Britneys mom and dad had part of their roof ripped off Tuesday night. They live about 30 minutes north of us and had a few tornados go through up there. We are all still a little jumpy after our May 22nd disaster.

We've got another line of bad storms coming through tomorrow morning. It is supposed to be hitting you Alabama folks tomorrow night. Stay safe, guys. I hate leaving my bird home all day during the storms.

Luckily we missed the worst of it in Mid Tennessee yesterday... all we got was some heavy rain... Now if we can just make it through tomorrow. The tor-con values for tomorrow don't look good

Another rough day and night. I just learned Marysville Indiana was wiped off the map by a tornado today. The town is no longer there. Be carefull everyone.

Well, I survived the rash of tornados and damaging storms here in Central Kentucky, but it looks like a few folks weren't so lucky. Multiple tornados caused a lot of damage in eastern Kentucky, which is where I grew up. The town of West Liberty (not too far from Cave Run Lake, if you are familiar with it) was hit with tornados on Wednesday, then hit again with devestating consequences on Friday. There are many here that could use your prayers, and honestly any other help that any of you can offer if possible. Here is a link to the Lexington-Herald Leader website with photos of the devestation.

I just read in the paper that in New Pekin Indiana, a 2 year old girl was found alive in a field 10 miles from her home. Back home, her entire family, mother, father, sister and brother had all lost their lives. It's a tragic situation down there.

How tragic!

I just heard word that the toddler that was found in the field died this afternoon in a Louisville hospital. ...so sad!

A friend of mine posted this video of what was left of the small town of Marysville Indiana after it took a direct hit from last Friday's tornado outbreak.

My prayers go out to all of those that are hurt and hurting because of this storm.
