Default No more Dicks (long rant)

Stopped at Dick's yesterday to see if there was anything I would spend my gift cards on. They had 5 wire Yum Alabama rigs for $4.99. They also had a 2 wire rig by Yum for $4.99. They were side by side on pegs. So I figured for $4.99 I'd try one. Saw another peg of the 5 wire for $15.99 in a different isle. Took it up front to pay and the cashier said they were not $4.99 but $15.99. I said they were on a peg for $4.99 but ok I won't take it for $15.99. Then the guy said on his little ear mike thing " There's another guy up here saying the rigs are $4.99". I took it to mean like I was trying to underpay. I retold the guy that they were listed for $4.99 again and someone should correct the listing. He said no they're not. Ok, that pissed me off. I know what I saw and my friend with me also saw them priced for $4.99. I asked him if he was calling me a lier? I was ready to explode but kept my temper. I should have asked for the manager but left the store. I believe they knew about the other peg in another isle priced correctly. The 5 wire beside the 2 wire were a different color then the 5 wire in the different isle. It never entered my mind that they were mispriced until the clerk said they were $15.99. As I said earlier I didn't want it for $15.99 and wasn't a jerk demanding I get it for $4.99.
Well no more Dick's for me. I'm tired of their mispricing. I always have to watch when they ring everything up. There's a Gander close by that the clerk's know me and take care of me.

Ditto the guys at Dicks here are dicks as well. I suggest they drop the D and replace it with PR

I hate when that thing happens. It you felt that strongly and had the time, you should have asked for the manager. I would have asked for the manager to complain more about that guy's customer service skills. Mispricing does happen but from what you wrote I would gather he is lacking in such skills.

On the flip side of the coin, if they're pricing is screwed it could go the other way and it has for me. Imagine you seeing a rod you know is $200.00 ringing up at $75.00.

A sure test of integrity, fo' sho'.

4.99 yup mispriced,15.99 over priced everyone and his brother are making them from 10-12 bucks

I've had the same problem at Dicks. The store I frequent the most is horrible about mislabeling stuff. Nothing is where it should be, I've gotten in the habit of checking the sku numbers before I buy anything, especially anything that is marked on sale.

Not to mention they guys are dumbass and don't know fishin for nothin!

Dunno if yall gotta a publix grocery store near you, or have ever shopped at one... but if they have something miss priced, they give it to you for that price PLUS a free one! Best customer service I've ever experience!

We have a Dicks and a Gander practically next door to each other. On either side of a large shopping mall. And I have had the same kinds of issue at both as far as mismarking and wanting to charge a price other than whats shown. At least at Gander, they checked out the price and agreed with me. At Dicks, forget it.

Huh, the Dick's that I go to alot in Sandusky has also been good to me... great customer service and if something is marked wrong they will 99% of the time make it right. Heck, the even sold me a brand new Navionics Platinum chip for the Humminbird for $9.99. They are also the best when it comes to price matching as well.
