I know of a Delta Ponds, if that is the spot you are talking about I have most of my fish on top-water lures and weedless jerkbaits. The main reason for the topwater is that there is a lot of weeds about 4 inches under water and I like to cast out above them and walk the lure back to the boat (or shore). I have a real bright fire tiger stick bait that seems to bring them to the top. So you might try that, or if you are into plastics, I usually hammer them on oversized jerk baits. Anything that is about 9 inches long and wiggles nicely above the weeds is a good bet for largemouth. I usually use dark colored jerk baits when it is sunny out and flashy top-water lures when it is overcast.
