This is Loomis Lake near my house. One of my fishin holes. This lake, as every lake around here should have been totally ice free 2 days ago if you go by normal average. March 13, you can pretty much guarantee all the area lakes will be open. As you can see, NOT THIS YEAR! You can see ice fisherman in the back ground. Several ice fisherman actually were on the lake today. This is a small bay leading out to the main lake. I should be fishing by now.

We still have iced over lakes here as well, but I can't fish till last Saturday in April anyways

Water temp 48f and climbing,lol only Ice I wanna see is in a glass,we all even south had white slick cold stuff this year,ding dong the witch is dead.
As a side note raining and calling for ice pellets tonight.
Three years ago with an early spring bass were spawning by this time.

Still iced over in Elkhart, IN hadto move are first tourny to the St.Jo river.
